The State Museum of Contemporary Art is placing the 3rd Children’s Biennale among the program of the parallel events of the 1st Thessaloniki Biennale of Contemporary Art. The Museum and the Children’s Academy for the Arts in Xanthi are organizing and presenting this year, as every other year since 2000, the International Biennale of Children’s Art. Children from 4-17 years old, from all around the world, have been called to create, inspired by the ancient Greek philosophy as also by geometry. The main idea belongs to Plato’s statement on true art, which declares that “art is made by geometric shapes and clear colours”.
