-Performance by Narine Zolyan "The Eternal Return or "dèjá vue"

“I wonder if it is either us that we choose the places or it is the places that they choose us, or substantially it is about a process of some kind of a mutual definition, a process of self-discovery for the way in which our selves are signified in multiple substances, within different conditions and various places?
Back in 1995, it happened by chance to come across to the journal with the title Society (I was not aware of Foucault and his texts)…And an encounter in time and space took place: my own encounter with the concurrent virtual and real place of the journey.  This is where the New Other Place was born.  I was getting familiar with places in which I never had the chance to live in, but somehow I was getting to know them, I was charging them with my images that they were implanted in the brand new atmosphere and they were living their own particular life.
The sinking, the acquaintance, a meditation, the Eternal Return, the Memory of the Other, the Other Era, the Other Place…”
