The purpose of this round table is to examine the Biennale’s function, the role of the “small” and the “big Biennales”, the Biennale of the centers and the peripheries in the international artistic map, the presentation of the organizers’ experiences and their contribution to the contemporary art.
Artistic directors, cultural development supervisors and curators having an extended and broad experience on cultural matters, such as Caroline Christov-Bakargiev (Sidney), Paul Domela (Liverpool), Vazgen Tadevosyan (Armenia), Beral Madra (Istanbul), η Iara Boubnova (Moscow), Shahnoza Karimbabaeva (Toshkent), Marieke van Hal (Athens), Catherine David (France), Jan Erik- Lundrstrom (Sweden), Maria Tsantsanoglou (Thessaloniki), are going to develop their point of views in order to approach the diversity and the dimensions of the subject, presenting at the same time similar projects and productions of great importance as well as newer and experimental initiatives of limited scale.
